Clove cigarettes are from heaven.
Posted by Davey at 02:02 AM
Well, opinions differ on this issue. Clove cigarettes, (aka Kreteks) hold up to 60% tobacco, and typically produce between 2 to 5 times the amount of nicotine, tar, and carbon monoxide as regular cigs; and they also can cause adverse effects not seen in regular butts (e.g. can impair the gag reflex causing choking due to the active ingredient "eugenol" which is used in dentistry as a topical anesthesia). They also promote lung infections, and its regular use increases risk of oral cancer. BTW, their use will make your life and health insurance premiums soar... Alternative smokes, such as some brands of bidis, may be a tad safer but still have their risks. Proceed with caution.

"from heaven"
as in james 3:17ff?
or
"from heaven"
as in "legal addictive"?

From heaven, as in, a natural part of God's pristine creation which even good ex-baptist boys like yours truly can enjoy ad maiorem Dei gloriam. :)
And it's only addictive if one's stupid enough to light up w/o moderation ... rather like that other legal addictive I know of: coffee.
*ducks*

in my workplace i am fast becoming an expert discerner of smoke types. pipe and cigar, different brands of pipe and cigar. typical cigarettes do not show up around here...but if clove smoke should ever cleave our atmosphere, my personal evaluation would be based upon one criterion: how does it smell?
